Intermediation & Career Guidance

Young women and men in Albania face enormous challenges orienting and integrating into the labour market. They lack information and find difficulties to make informed career choices.  To meet their employment needs, RisiAlbania is working to provide effective ways of linking job seekers with the job opportunities that best match their skills, needs, and interests.

At the core of this interventions is matching supply to current market demand for jobs, enabling young job seekers and potential employers adjust to markets change, and building skills for future labour market demands. Our interventions will be oriented towards Intermediation Services and Career Guidance.

Intermediation

To ease the transition from school to work for young people through better functioning of labour market services, RisiAlbania in Phase II cooperates with institutions that mediate between job seekers and employers, matching the supply and demand for jobs.

Media as proved during Project Phase I is a key player which provides relevant and attractive content focusing on career guidance for young women and men. The project will expand labour market information with new media products to inform on youth career path decision.

Career Guidance

Career guidance service contributes to better education and employment choices. It can also help to better articulate demand for learning, contribute to enhancing education access and completion and improve the match between labor market supply and demand.

Considering also that many vulnerable and socially excluded groups are middle to low skilled jobseekers, a greater emphasis on how private job matching services can cater towards their needs will be addressed by the project during Phase II through a variety of private and public service providers.
