RisiAlbania hosted a session at the first DC dVET – Donor Committee for dual Vocational Education and Training Online BarCamp “Gender & Inclusion in Dual VET Development Cooperation” and contributed in “Getting Beyond Indicators” discussion.
The focus was put on the experience regarding inclusive education, incentives, and active labour market measures, while addressing Gender Equity and Social Inclusion needed policies. RisiAlbania has been using inclusion as an overarching principle throughout its interventions during these ongoing 10 years of labour market endeavours, in Albania.
Investment in women has been shown to have significant knock-on development effects, as women spend additional income on the health and well-being of their families. However, at both macro and micro levels, women’s economic participation is hampered by structural and cultural barriers.
This BarCamp presentation provides an overview on the relevant, burning and sometimes provocative questions on the topic of gender & inclusion in Dual VET in development cooperation. The interactive map provides further insights on the inputs and discussions during the BarCamp.
