Minister of Finance and Economy , Mrs. Delina Ibrahimaj, together with the Swiss Ambassador to Albania, H.E Mrs. Ruth Huber, signed the agreement for the implementation of the third phase of the RisiAlbania project – for a functional job market for youth. Minister Ibrahimaj emphasized that the focus of the policies is on projects and programs aimed at promoting employment growth.

The agreement formalizes and facilitates cooperation among several institutions and authorities in Albania, with the Ministry of Finance and Economy playing a central role, to improve career counseling and information for young people, enhance the skills required by the market, and support businesses to become more competitive and sustainable. Through a grant of 6.9 million euros, the project will scale up new ways to improve employment opportunities and enable businesses to offer better job positions.

The Minister stated that the budgetary policies being undertaken aim to promote sectors such as tourism and agribusiness through the development of the value chain in medicinal plants, fruits, and vegetables. This will enable businesses to access high-value markets, increase revenue in the country, and create more employment opportunities for young people.

Swiss Ambassador Ruth Huber expressed that it is crucial for young people to receive proper career guidance and acquire the necessary skills demanded by the market, and this is one of the goals of the signed project agreement.
